Below is a list of YouTube channels I feel are of use to others that are interested in Japan & it’s culture. As I come across more interesting and useful channels, I will be adding them to this list so come back once in a while and you might find something new to explore.
NHK World Japan is a channel that displays world and local news of Japan along with some documentaries that basically shares Japan & it’s cultures.
My very own channel. Japan Talker talks about all sorts of things through my own explorations related to Japan & Japanese culture.
Virtual Japan shows you Japan by sharing videos in 4K by walking around places. Their membership subscription also shows you videos using 360-degree cameras.
Traditional Crafts Aoyama Square as it is literally translated is a channel that displays different types of traditional Japanese crafts. Beautiful works of art done by highly professional artisans show dedication in Japanese crafts.
Game Gengo is a very unique channel that teaches Japanese through gaming. Though it’s a novel & unique way to teach Japanese, it is still a very professional way to learn the language through their videos.
Japan by Food is one of my most favorite Japan related channels out there. They show you popular & unique places to find tasty Japanese food that you’re bound to want to try when you visit Japan.
One of Internet’s most favorite content creators from Japan, Kimono Mom has over 3 million subscribers and has content that talks about different aspects of living in Japan.
Cook Kafemaru offers recipes mostly for baked pieces of delicious foods that will make your mouth water. Often, things that you might find in a fancy cafe in Japan.
Kaiteki Art 2nd is a channel that showcases mainly Japanese style & to be more specific, Etegami styled artwork. Great channel to watch if you’re learning to make your own Etegami.
